A Fantastic Groom Speech For The Wedding Day
It is only fair the groom get the chance to say a few words at his own wedding since others will have the opportunity to take a few shots at him.

should include thanking everyone who helped with and attended the wedding, this is the grooms opportunity to thanks his parents and family, his new in-law’s and his new wife for marrying him.
It is important to keep the speech short. When food and alcohol are involved most people find their attention span limited. The groom will not be the only speaker of the day, and if the speeches drone on endlessly, the wedding will be remembered as the one with the endless speeches. Most speaking professionals will advise the groom not to read his speech, but this is not a professional event. It is a wedding, and a wedding day is very emotional, especially for the bride and groom. The groom is absolutely within his right to read his speech if he feels more comfortable doing it that way.
The groom should keep it clean with a bit of humor bandied about. If the groom’s speech is as blue as grandma’s rinse, someone may be calling 9-1-1. It might make an interesting story to relate how the bride and groom met. Perhaps they met in school, and it was his plan to just copy her homework, but he soon found himself falling in love with her test papers, as well. Or maybe they met at an after school job at a fast-food restaurant, and it was love at first fry. A great story would be if she was his boss, and he was just marrying his way to the top.
When thanking his parents, he should mention how they were his inspiration for marriage. Unless, of course, one of both of his parents has been married multiple times, then he can tell the guests that he declined their gift of a microwave or the set of pots and pans.
The parents of the bride deserve a special thank you for the wedding and the option to provide a ladder in the event they wanted to elope and offer to do the same for him if he ever wants to escape, then thank the father of the bride for the cash equivalent for the ladder. Do not forget the mother of the bride as she was the camp counselor putting the entire wedding together. Thank her for teaching his new wife how to keep house, cook a nice meal, and juggle credit cards so none of them are ever overcharged.
If the groom feels he is losing his audience anywhere along the line during his speech, he can wrap it up before he is officially finished. It is better to thank people following the wedding then prolonging a speech that most people have already turned off and tried to thank them then.
Groom speeches for the wedding
should come from the heart and relate to how you fell on this special day. It is not necessary for the groom to fret too much about his speech. If he speaks from the heart, he will do just fine, and his speech will be a pleasant memory for guests in years to come.
