Help with Persuasive Art Speech?
Hi
I am about to do a speech on why the art program in schools should be much stronger than it already is. Here are my ideas:
i am going to have a paragraph for each type of art (drama, music, visual) and i will talk about how important art is for people’s well being,morale, self esteem, etc.
i also want to talk about celebrities/ famous people through history whose lives have been touched by art.
as well, i’m including musical quotes, real life situations, stuff like that, and in the end, it will have persuaded people why they should find a type of art they enjoy, and why our school board should have a better curriculum, and, you know, all that jazz
i want it to be funny and interesting… any ideas?
it’s 3-5 minutes long, and the main thing i need help with are famous people whose lives have been touched by art.

Great idea for a speech. The arts are very important to education because they inspire the students to think creatively. To learn to express themselves. To play a musical instrument and perform in a band or orchestra. To act and gain self confidence. To learn skills which will help their career choices.
President Obama is a good example because he supports the arts and brings artists and musicians
into the White House.
